5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Read
My 8 year old had this book on her school reading list. She loved it and has read it many times. She thought it was really funny and loved the part about the gummy worms on the pizza.Any book that gets a child to read is all right with me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Its Funny
I read this book in my second grade class. This is a funny book.Even Steven likes everything even.Odd Todd likes everything odd. 5-0 out of 5 stars My son was on the floor laughing
I got this for my kindergartener to read to me. He was laughing so hard he got the hiccups. Great early reader because there are a lot of repetitive phrases and the story is silly enough to captivate the little ones.

5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT First Reader
This was my sons first "I read it all by my self" book. He made me read this everyday over and over until he could imitate me then eventually read it himself. The wording is such that you dont tire ofre-reading to your child and it is a quick read so you dont mind re-reading100x a day.I had my son sign this book and date it (his 6th b-day) for mymemory trunk and had such fond memories of it I just ordered another copyfor my daughter(age 4).

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for toddlers!
Our toddler loved the illustrations of the animals .This book can bevery interactive for young children allowing them to make all the animalsounds as the book unfolds.I would definitely recommend this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars story about diversity
This is a very funny story. It gives children a chance to explore diversity in a humorous way. This book goes through a huge explanation of WHY this family eats in the bath tub instead of "usual" places.

5-0 out of 5 stars A favorite of mine for 26 years
This book has been my favorite book since I was a baby. When I was little and my mom read it to me, I got so excited, because I loved spaghetti and I love the silly story! The story is simple and it rhymes as you go along. I can still recite every line! Now I am pregnant with my first baby and I am already having my husband read More Spaghetti I Say! to my belly, I cannot wait to share it with my child. If you are looking for a simple and sweet book with a silly story, this book is for you! also easy to help young ones learn to read, this book is great for everything!

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes us all laugh
We read this book to our 14 month old. He absolutely loves it. He has learned to say "Mmmm" on the appropriate page and there are so many pages that make him laugh out loud. The story is so cute, clever and funny. The illustrations are simple and enable our son to follow along without having to read. It's one that you won't mind reading over and over again. And what kid isn't fascinated by spaghetti?

5-0 out of 5 stars Adorable Little Book!
This is the cutest book I have come across in a long time.I checked this book out at our local library to read to my three-year-old son, and we liked it so much that I bought a copy. Minnie the monkey is bananas over spaghetti! The storyline is simple and interesting---and funny. My son wants me to read this to him every day, sometimes several times a day.I still find the thing amusing, even after having read it more times than I can count. There are a few additional benefits to owning this book.It opens up wonderful opportunities for discussion with your children on such topics as understanding the likes and dislikes of others, being a good playmate, the perils of overindulgience, and being considerate of other people's feelings. Not only that, but a little boy who wouldn't touch spaghetti before, now gladly eats a double portion!:) ... I had the joy of hearing this book read by a lirarian to a class of second graders. The repetitive lines and great illustrations make this book a delight to read with children. 5-0 out of 5 stars Sad but good (from an 8-year-old)
I like this book because it's a true story that happened 100 years ago. It's a sad story because Helen Keller was blind and deaf. It's a good story because after a while she understood what she was doing and she learned how to write on a typewriter.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice way to first hear the Helen Keller story
This is an easy to read book (grades 1 & 2) and a wonderful tool for introducing children to Helen Keller. It tells about her struggles after becoming deaf and blind, and of her eventual triumph of learning words with the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan. It also gives a very brief summary of her accomplishments as an adult.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A good introduction to germs and health
The germs illustrations presented by Steve Bjorkman are amusing, consisting of strange looking creatures in pastel colors, reminding me of characters from the television show Sponge Bob Square Pants. The hands on the girls and boys in Germs!Germs!Germs! appear oddly shaped, as noted by the way the girl is holding the pencil on the cover.
5-0 out of 5 stars Funny and helpful
This is my 3 1/2 year old daughter's favorite book.We came across it at her preschool and have bought a copy for home.It has really improved her hygiene- she has become much more conscientious about brushing her teeth and washing her hands to "get rid of the bad germs"!Cute book, I'm buying a copy for friends, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and informative
My daughter and I love this book.At 5 years old, she easily understood what this book was trying to tell her. She's 8 now and we still read it. We even use some of the terminology to remind each other to stay healthy. She'll say "Mama, you're being a 'meal skipper'".It is NOT a scary book and it is a fun way to talk about germs with your kids. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoy this delightful story!
This simple little story is tailored for beginning readers, but the reassuring and loving attitude of Ms Darcy warms the hearts of my husband and mine. We've all been there.Remember ourselves being kids?LikeBunny, we had the strongest sense of self - we loved being the center ofattention; we hated to be laughed at our foolishness; we were reluctant oractually afraid to ask questions from our stern teachers although we weretrained to follow instructions. The only difference, maybe, instead ofbeing hugged and comforted, we would be punished for the mess we madeup.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A review from Shannon!
I saw SUE in Chicago last week.In this book I learned that SUE was named after Susan who found the fossils.Susan had a dog named Gypsy. They kept on digging up duck-billed dinosaurs.Sue's boned weighed 4 tons!!The Field Museum bought it for over eight million dollars!SUE is a T.rex.I think that SUE did fight with other dinosaurs.SUE is 67 million years old!I was happy to see SUE in Chicago and to read this book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sue
Dinosaurs are a hot topic right now...and A Dinosaur Named Sue: The Find of the Century really teaches young kids about the job of a paleontologist--in a positive light. SUE, the most complete T. rex fossilever found, is an amazing discovery, both educationally AND on basis ofinterest, and children should definitely read all they can about thisdinosaur. This book approaches SUE on the level of a 3rd grader, yet thelanguage and subject matter are intelligient enough for a parent to findinteresting--maybe even to learn from! I definitely did! ...
