5-0 out of 5 stars Great ending!!!!!!!!!
This book was absouluely wonderful and a great ending!!!!!!!! What else can I say??? I loved it! READ IT

5-0 out of 5 stars A Fitting End!
As I read this, I could tell this was an entirely different chapter in the Baudelaire's lives than we'd previously been exposed to. Lemony Snicket made it rather clear that the questions we wanted answered wouldn't be answered and it would do no good to answer them. Though slightly disappointing, I think we're better off for it. This book drives the message of the entire series home, and is in so many ways an allegory to what we experience every day. I thought this book was more emotional and better written than all of the other books combined, and was pleased with the couple of things we DID find out, even though there are a million other questions left unanswered. To answer these questions would be to ruin this series and the entire point of these books, and though we thirst for answers, the truth is that answers to these questions would be disappointing and more mysterious than what we're left with.
5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect ending to this series

5-0 out of 5 stars My Review of Artemis Fowl The Lost Colony
I think Artemis Fowl The Lost Colony is a great book.As with all Artemis Fowl book's it was suspenseful, "filled to brim with action", and always kept reader guessing.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Best One Yet
This is the best one in the seris yet! Mr. Colfer has struck again with another enhancing novel under the Artemis Fowl seris.

4-0 out of 5 stars ...
I steamrolled through the first four books in the Artemis Fowl series this past spring and found them genuinely delightful. Unlike some other reviewers I think that this book is best when read in the context of the series, and not as a standalone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Looking forward to the next one...
There are some very interesting tidbits in this volume that clearly affect how I look at parts of the series and how the final book will turn out. This book made me look forward to the next one in the series. In the meantime I got two books in a new series - Why Some Cats are Rascals.Great reading!.

5-0 out of 5 stars Collector's item or valuable clues?
If there's anyone on your gift list unlucky enough to own the entire series of unfortunate events, you may wish to inflict further adversity upon them by purchasing this additional volume for their collection. Not so much a book as a mystery contained between hard covers, this most attractively presented publication contains two folders, one with a large two-sided poster filled with clues, and a notebook containing correspondence exchanged between a guy named Lemony Snicket and what seems to be two people named Beatrice Baudelaire, one of whom claims to be a fourth Baudelaire sibling. The letters begin before The Bad Beginning and end sometime after The End.
1-0 out of 5 stars Uh huh, Foggy Bottom used to refer to the State Dept.
Can this book be used as evidence in a court of law? IMO thats where this book is headed. The lawsuits are about to fly, the schism is expanding and soon there will be a lot of wealthy writers and entertainment stars weeping.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ooops! She did it again
J.K Rowling has pulled off another stellar Harry Potter. Because the amount of time it takes to complete a 7-part series, I thought she'd run out of steam, but clearly she has not. After seeing what happened with King towards the end of the Dark Towers series, I was afraid another renowned writer might do the same. I was pleasantly disappointed. There is nothing else to say. Great book. She keeps the series rolling perfectly. Some of the goings on (people who've read the story should know what I'm talking about) I believe are front for other plans, and I was not heart broken at the end.
5-0 out of 5 stars Harry's Daring Quest
Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore try to research Lord Voldemort's childhood. They search through the pensieve discovering the truth about Lord Voldemort. They realize the rutheless, evil wizard splits his soul into seven pieces by murdering seven innocent people. Then he magicallyhid them into valuable objects, which Harry and Dumbledore set after for. I loved the book because the story line was thrilling and intriguing. The characters were daring, intelligent, humorous, and wise. My favorite character is Harry Potter who is a sixteen year old wizard who's parents died because Voldemort murdered them both. Harry is my favorite character because he is brave and humorous. Some related books to this one are all five of the other Harry Potter books. I think this book ranks number one in comparison to them all.

1-0 out of 5 stars This book series stinks! And that's flattering.
One star is giving this terrible and uninteresting series a huge compliment. Especially this book, where the plot consists of little but pointless stories of the character's love lives until the end, when there is a quick bit that is actually about Good vs evil. If Harry can be called good. beyond this words cannot describe my disgust for this book and for the whole series. Hope Harry dies. Painfully. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars "Inspiring!"
this book falls under my favorites! In the beginning of he book the demonic Opal Koboi reluctantley plans her revenge to kill Captain Holly Short and Artemis Fowl. While Opal Koboi is plotting in her fake coma, she secretley breaks out and is finally ready to kill Holly and Artemis. This book was absolutely phenominal!!the plot stuck right on a trail but ended completely unpredictable.the character were very believeable except for most of the mystical creatures, but you could feel their emotions.this book in my opinion ranks right up nest to Harry Potter, Eoin Colfer did an excellent job!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Artemis fowl: The Opal Deception
Holly, a soldier in the lepRecon has messed up many times.Last time she got captured trying to replenish her magic by the wicked Fowl family. This time when she replenishes her energy and strength Artemis visited her for help (not very likely). There is a new enemy among the community and he might even have out smarted Artemis himself.
5-0 out of 5 stars Book review: Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
Suspenseful, and exciting from beginning to end, Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception is one of Eoin Colfer's best books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Peter has a devil of a time . . .
Ever wished the cocky look was washed off Peter's face just once, even though you like him and you'd never want the cockiness completely gone? I always felt that way just a smidge while reading the original Peter Pan and found the first book in this series relieved that itch just a bit. It was like Peter Pan, only more humananized and real. And FUNNY!

Ahem. Has anyone noticed that one of the one-star reviews for this book burns Lemony Snicket and William Shakespeare at the same time? If I was you, L.S., be honored! "Oh, gee, you're categorizing me in the same place as one of the most revered and adored authors of all time?!! I think I'll take that as a compliment!" This book is the second best in the series so far, after The Slippery Slope.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Wait For Two More Years!!!
The books are amazing.J.K. Rowling managed to create a magical world that is both appealing to children and adults. The books follow the heroic life of young Harry Potter from age 11.As Harry gets older, the books mature with him. While the first book is very colorful and innocent, books five and six are much darker and emotional, of which love becomes a major theme in the series.
4-0 out of 5 stars A good value
Our family hadn't yet read all the books, and we were looking for a set. This is a good value. However, with book 7 coming out soon, we are regretting not waiting to get the inevitable 7-book set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary Value
I'm not going to address the quality of the Harry Potter series. After all, if you weren't interested in the plots and storylines, you wouldn't be considering this item. What I will address is the fact that this collection is, hands down, the best value on the first six books of the series you will find, period! (Price at time of writing was $100) I'm a member of several book associations, and even they cannot match it. The books themselves are hardback, with excellent quality paper and high production value. The jackets all show the colorful illustrations of Mary Grandpré, and have raised lettering. The bindings themselves are library quality, and durable, with metallic lettering on the spine. It was a must have for my hardback Fantasy library and collection and, though most of my books for it have been obtained via a SFBC membership, Amazon definitely provided the best value on this one! ... I thought that this book was one of the best i have ever read. It is good for all ages. I couldn't put this book down- it got you hooked- and after you were done i wanted to read other books by Shannon Hale. I love the action and romance in Princess Academy. Another great book of her's is Goose Girl.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute book for it's intended audience and others as well
I plan on purchasing this book some day. I think it will be a fun book for my daughter(s) to read when they're a little older (my oldest girl is three). The book is fun, easy to read and very enjoyable. This book contains everything, action, innocent teenage romance, drama and intrigue.

An affectionate, sometimes bashful pig named Wilbur befriends a spider named Charlotte, who lives in the rafters above his pen. A prancing, playful bloke, Wilbur is devastated when he learns of the destiny that befalls all those of porcine persuasion. Determined to save her friend, Charlotte spins a web that reads "Some Pig," convincing the farmer and surrounding community that Wilbur is no ordinary animal and should be saved. In this story of friendship, hardship, and the passing on into time, E.B. White reminds us to open our eyes to the wonder and miracle often found in the simplest of things. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A fine work of literature that can stand alongside any in English
I just reread it recently as an adult. I had this boxed set of three hardcover E.B. White books when I was a kid - Charlotte's Web, The Trumpet of the Swan (which I remember as my favorite of the three, though I hardly remember it today), and Stuart Little.
5-0 out of 5 stars Charlotte's Web
I've purchased this book for my daughter who is almost 9 years old, I end up reading it before her. This book is great for growing up kids; how wonderful and variable it is to have a friend he/she can depend on and be with to share fun, sad and so so stories to one another.
4-0 out of 5 stars A classic, and for a good reason
This book, though it may seem to be just a cute story about a pig, is actually quite sad.The first time I read this book I was in first grade and I liked it, but it was only when I just recently read it again that I realized how good it really is. This book, through its simple plot, reminded me a lot about how selfless some people are and also about growing up.No wonder it's a classic; even though it's written for little kids, it can remind a lot of people about their own lives and bring back a lot of fond memories. ... This book also includes fantastic thrills to were Abbey and Noah Underwood come into close incounters of being caught while full filling thier full proof plan. They also have a couple of former crew members to help them capture the crook and save the beach for both wildlife, and themselves.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book
This is a very good children's novel. It is easy to read and moves along quickly to keep the attention. The story is enchanting and very sweet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Enchanting
The story of a family which can never die or get hurt known as the Tucks. A classic love story between living forever for love or living life normal. Which would you choose? The main character Winnie Foster is caught between her new love, Jessie, which belongs to the Tuck family. Now the Tuck family is a very strange family which kept there life as a secret by moving to different place every once in a while. The story goes on and at the end Winnie is either to choose Jessie and drink from the fountain of youth or go on living and move on. Jessie did not want her to drink from it but she loved him and said she would do anything. The setting takes place in a old town called Treegap, which was very small and secluded from the outside world. I would say the genre of this book is a love and fantasy. 5-0 out of 5 stars Every August, my thoughts turn to Tuck Everlasting
The opening of TUCK EVERLASTING is one of the best beginnings of any book I've ever read, includingmany of the classics. Whatever this book my lack in character development, it makes up for ten-fold in theme. This book and its concepts are ageless andhaunting. The best stories in life are often told as a parable, and TUCK EVERLASTING delivers. It is not a plot driven book or even a character driven book, it is question driven book...Do you choose life? ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Owns a piece of my soul
I read the book for the first time when I was 9 years old. I dig it out every few years and re read it. To this day it still has the power to reduce me to tears.
4-0 out of 5 stars A portrait of friendship
Published in the 70's, this book was an instant children's classic in American literature. This book deals with the friendship of a boy, Jesse, and a girl, Leslie, both of whom are social outcasts.Coming from different families and upbringings, they form a friendship that bears the strain of tragedy. This reviewer read this book while in elementary school; but revisited it once I heard that a movie was being made about it.The book is very good, and is great for children to read in today's culture where intergender relationships are often characterized in terms of sex.I recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sad, yet beautiful
One of my favorite parts of parenting is rediscovering wonderful children's literature with my daughters. I had heard of this book but never read it, so when my daughter chose it for a book report I seized the opportunity to read an award-winning book that I had neglected.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lovely
A beautifully produced book, spectacular illustrations, a heartwarming story. Especially perfect for a read aloud with 3rd and 4th graders.

5-0 out of 5 stars Rabbit Run
This beautiful book, both in design and form, is an example of simplicity at it's best. A doll rabbit known as Edward Tulane to his owner (a small girl named Abilene) lives a life of privilege, he has the finest clothes, he has the love of a child, and he has a beautiful gold pocket watch of his very own. There is one problem however, though Edward knows love, for Abilene does love him so, he doesn't understand love. And because he doesn't understand love, he can not love nor can he know what it means to be loved. 5-0 out of 5 stars Truley and purley amazing
This book is not only pages with letters typed on them but a true masterpiece. As I read it I cried, jumped for joy and felt that Kate Dicammilo was an amazing person. Her books (Because of Win-Dixie, The Tale of Desperaux and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane) all have won well deserved awards and loved by all who read that feel the story as if were true and truly heartwarming. I've read the story countless times and each time I feel that the world is a wondrous place. Even though Edward is a china rabbit who lives, I didn't feel that it was cartoony and amusing. I felt that it was a true story and not a book that makes you laugh at how cartony it is. You MUST read this book if you are not just a kid who thinks a book is only pages and print. Becasue it's not. I have proof; The Miraculous Story of Edward Tulane. Thanks for reading.
