Great book, don't fall prey to other review!!!
My son is 9 years old and hates chapter books, he would much rather be reading non-fiction.When I found the Chet Gecko series at the store, I took a chance and bought the first book.At first my son refused to read it, but after reading the first two chapters aloud as a bedtime story, he was hooked.He has since read all of the Chet Gecko novels and loves each and every one.I have read most of them to my students, (I teach reading recovery in a middle school)and they have always been a huge hit.While he may not be reading Chaucer, I am very happy to see him reading chapter books and enjoying himself.My six year old daughter also loves having the books read to her.I would recommend the Chet Gecko to any child, boy or girl, as a great introduction to mystery novels, detective stories, and bad puns.

My Special Friend
I Wanna Iguana brings out warm feelings in anyone who reads the book, be that person child or adult. Ostensibly it's about loving and caring for an unusual pet.But I believe it carries a deeper message--that we personally grow from accepting anything or any human different from ourselves.Read this great picture book, and I know you'll agree.

Learning From the Lizard
Purposeful living; joy in the beautiful; artful love; profound wisdom; thankfulness in God's creation---all are found in this delightful rendition about animals in our Bible. The author, Samuel J. Hahn, assigns each a place in scripture, as the animal is exemplified in a lesson or teaching which concludes with prayer. Each of the 25 animals is illustrated with sensitivity and detail by Scott Patton. This delightful book appplies to any age---child, youth and adult. As a study resource or complement to a church school class, it is as reliable as it is enjoyable.

Childhood Memories Come Alive
As a child born and raised not far from Chief Lelooska, reading this book and listening to the CD brought back many happy memories of sitting in the story lodge watching the Chief and his family make these stories comealive.Hearing his voice again and seeing the brilliant drawings in thisbook made me feel like I was right back there huddled in front of the fire. The drawings are so lifelike you can almost touch the masks and costumes.After reading this book, you will be searching your local art museum fordisplays of Chief Lelooska's carvings and masks.I would gladly pass thisbook down as a family heirloom and demonstration of the rich history andart of the Northwest Indians.

A very good book
This book is good for third and fourth graders.It is about a toad that can talk and has a personality.It is a fun book because it is magical, mysterious, and fun at the same time.I have liked the other books in the series too.
