This is wonderful and is historically acurate it is set at the time of the fever in philidalphia and goes through robbers, deaths, and life in the 1700's.

Very cool volume!
Welcome to Odyssey, the land of change-well, at least that's how it seems these days! Some new folks have moved into town, and others are finding themselves in situations they couldn't have imagined in their wildest dreams. So, come on along and check out the latest in the most exciting neighborhood around!
Post-Whit shows off to a stong start
This is the first full set that take place after Whit took off to the Middle East (in real life, Hal Smith, the voice of Whit, had died. About 2 years later they found Paul Herlinger to carry on the character). There was apparently some fear that the show would fall apart. However, it seems that the writers were stretched creatively, and the result is a great set of episodes. Possibly the most notable is the 2-part "A Name, Not a Number" where Whit's son Jason moves to Odyssey to help run Whit's shop. It covers Jason's life in Government Intelligence, and how it follows him to Odyssey. We also meet Jack Allen (voiced by Mr. Ed's Allen Young), and old friend of Whit who has moved to Odyssey to help run Whit's End. Also, Tom Riley decides to run for mayor, but runs into opposition from mysterious means. There's a LOT to like in this one, and for long-time listers, it sets the stage for a lot more in future shows. ... Read more

a must Have book!
this is a completly awsome book and definatly worth getting, the story is a little slow in the beginning but as the story picks up its gets really intese and hard to put down, this is definatly a must have book for all harry potter, artemis fowl, seventh tower fans. but if you have your doubts, just pick up this book and read it, you'll be surprised

Sabriel is truly a book that you can't put down. The second book in the triology shifts perspectives and is no longer shown from Sabriel's point of view. I personally thought that was a let down, but this book is good.

Fantasy lovers!
This book has kept me entertained to the very end, I loved it. I love Fantasy, like Terry Brooks, T.A. barron, and Harry Potter. If you are intrested in any of these types of books then you will love this.It draws you in, and you can't get out.It really makes you feel like you are in that situation.A must read! ... Read more

wonderful
I had this book when I was a little kid. I honestly think that by reading it, it changed how I viewed things as a child. Partially because of this book, when I was little I had strong feelings about responsiblity, kindness, courage, perserverance, and many of the other subjects illustrated in The Children's Book of Virtues. I loved reading it and the stories affected me greatly.

It's About The Message, Not The Messenger
These tales were collected from virtually every corner of the globe and some go far back into the reaches of antiquity. Bennett and his collaborators did a fine job of finding stories of universal, fairly non-controversial appeal that we can all cite without worrying about the inherent differences in religion or politics that might otherwise divide us. Segregated according to the principles being celebrated (Honesty, Courage, etc.) these fables and true life stories demonstrate virtues of conduct far too often left unstressed in our morally-undermined society.

GOOD CHILDREN'S BOOK AND STORIES
I purchased this book and a few others in the series for my 4 � year old.My son is very intelligent for his age, yet some of the stories were a bit long and beyond his attention span and/or understanding.However, I am not disappointment as I am confident that in time, all the stories will be appropriate. Have the video/very fun music for my two-year-old
Though I have the video, I thought I'd write a review because the music is so cute and cheerful.My 2 1/2 year old son isn't too interested in most videos, but this one captures his attention; he often does the song motions along with it.I think the audio alone would be fun, too, as long as someone is showing kids how to move and play to the music.For example, one kitchen band song talks about "let's play a muffin tin!" and such.My two kids and I raid the kitchen and make a kitchen band.Another song is about "dancing/tiptoeing/hopping/etc in a ring" where the kids can move around in a circle and do the motions.This could give ideas for a church nursery or play group.Some songs are praise songs ("Praise Jesus! Praise God!We are the kitchen squad!"), so this is definitely a resource Christians will enjoy more than those of other faiths.Few of the selections are non-Christian.This is fun, sweet music! ... The Adventure continues...
I am really enjoying the Left Behind: The Kids Live-Action audio series.Well-acted and every episode has captured my attention.As an adult, one of the reasons which drew me to the audio series is because LaHaye and Jenkins intertwines the Left Behind universe and its characters together, so if you are reading or listening to the audio series of Left Behind, I highly recommend listening to the Left Behind: The Kids for a little bit more in-depth coverage of recurring characters.

Everyone should read this book.
I know that for those who have read this book have found it be disturbing for little children. Honestly, I don't think Hans C. Anderson would have intended this book to be just for adults. I believe he had a heart felt message for all ages. Also, the fact that it introduces real life and after life for a child is very good. Plus, it can also teach a child many other lessons. I am definitely going to read this to my kids. When I first read the little match girl I was not expecting the ending at all. So when the ending did come I cried. It affected me so much. The heart wrenching story of this little girl really hits you hard. Please read this book.

"The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christen Andersen was the first book I read as a child that affected me profoundly. I was able to make a personal connection to the text because I too was a young girl who was impoverished at the time. I knew what it felt like to be cold and hungry and I related immediately to the main character.
May be too disturbing for some children
