2-0 out of 5 stars Not What I Thought I was Getting
I received a LullaBible (book & 2 CDs) as a shower gift, and have loved it. But I just ordered two of these for friends, and they came without any CDs. No music - just the hardcover book. The reviews on this page remark on how wonderful the music is, but that version isn't currently available, and this site doesn't specify that the music isn't included. So watch out!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT
i got this as a gift and i bought 2 more for two special friends....my baby listens to this the entire night when i put her to bed.moms im telling you are gonna love it

5-0 out of 5 stars LullaBible - I love it!
This book and the cd's that are included allow you some of the most relaxing time. You can put the cd on at night with the volumn down low, and just drift off to sleep in God's presence. This item is for Mother and Baby and both will enjoy it for many years to come.I buy it for baby shower gifts and the recipient has always been very pleased.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The adventures continue...
I am really enjoying the Left Behind: The Kids Live-Action audio series.Well-acted and every episode has captured my attention. As an adult, one of the reasons which drew me to the audio series is because LaHaye and Jenkins intertwines the Left Behind universe and its characters together, so if you are reading or listening to the audio series of Left Behind, I highly recommend listening to the Left Behind: The Kids for a little bit more in-depth coverage of recurring characters.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome! I love the stories! Christians everywhere REJOICE!
I read the LEFT BEHIND The Kids series for most of Spring 2000 and I loved them. I stopped at 4 because I kind of lost interest. But in October 2000 I got the first edition of the Drama cassettes. And this year I got the second edition. I am listening to it as I type this review and I will never stop listening. I will buy the 3rd very very soon. Anyway, if you are between the ages of 9 and 15 BUY THEM NOW! The CDs are better because of the enhanced stereo quality. Sounds pass around you, dialogue is heard from different directions, its awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THE LEFT BEHIND KIDS AUDIOBOOKS!
I love how they didn't decide to release a read version, but they released a "LIVE ACTION AUDIO DRAMATIZATION" of the kids books. I am a fan of the first Left Behind (Adult) Live Action Audio (Listen with very enclosing surround sound headphones and you will be blown away by the great sound quality!). I have Left Behind The Kids audio #1 on cassette (the store didn't have the CD yet) and #2 on CD. They are all great. Each disc represents one book. Each release has 4 books. Get this audiobook! Buy them both! Hopefully a movie will come out. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Countermoves shows the AIO team just keeps getting better.
This is just another in a series of Odysseys that are getting more involved and hold the interest of adults as well as children. It is too intense for children under 7-8 but older children love it.We listened to it in the car and it made our trip seem to fly by.One word of warning - the mystery is not resolved at the end of the set. You'll need to wait until September to find out what happens!

5-0 out of 5 stars Things are Really Heating Up Now
With very few exceptions, this collection of the radio drama focuses on the Novacom storyline. And it's definitely gaining momentum.Connie and Mitch are having problems in their relationship because Mitch works for Novacom and seems to have several secrets.Whit's End Connellsville opens, but runs into some problems from an unexpected source.Mandy and Sarah unexpectedly run into an old friend who provides a clue to current happenings.Meanwhile, Aubrey must deal with a group of happy guests at the Timothy Center. And we get to see Jason in action at one of his missions in South America.4-0 out of 5 stars More Novacom
This Album is great. More Novacom episodes with suprising plot twists. Katie Leigh gives a fine performance. Ed Walker does not show up very much. Tho the reason I did not give it five stars is because there is a little drop of christainty and more focous on msking novacom relly cul. Also Odyssey has replased there good music with horrible gutar music. But Nathen Hoobler writes some of these episodes and is a very good writer. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars too much diary
my dad read this to my brother and me.I liked the book, but not as much as the first three because there were too many pages filled with Eustace's diary talking about his boring time on the poop deck.I liked the dragon part, but the dufflepuds and their big foot were my favorite
5-0 out of 5 stars "Thrilling"
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a stand out among the books in Lewis' excellent series. There are several elements in this book that distinguish it from the books that chronologically precede it.Old characters are put away and new characters (some humans, no less) emerge in importance, there is an absence of a monolithic evil antagonist, and no part of this story actually occurs in "Narnia."Lewis demonstrates a mastery for tension and suspense in this book that is not so apparent in the others, and when reading this one I noticed more moments when my kids' eyes were wide-open with anticipation (e.g., what will happen to Lucy at the end of that strange hallway, what are those threatening invisible thumpers, and will the Dawn Treader ever sail out of the nightmarish blackness?).At bottom, this is a classic and well-done journey story, in which pilgrims put their lives in a fragile boat and sail into the unknown, first to rescue seven loyal heroes and, eventually, to find the Thing greater than them all (that's Jesus, for the honest reader).Aslan makes his many usual appearances, with a strengthening of the concept that he is always present and always in control, no matter whether our human characters know it or take comfort in the knowledge.I don't think it's a spoiler to say that the reader gets to see the Lion revealed as the Lamb in a candid moment. If you tried The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and you are considering trying one more Narnia volume - try this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Why Should We Not Come to the Very Eastern End of the World?"
The third book in the Chronicles of Narnia (or the fifth if you're reading them in chronological order), is a rather unusual book within the context of the series, considering the good-against-evil theme that permeates the other six books in the series is largely absent here. Of course there are dangers and trials, as well as personal conflict that need to be resolved, but because there is no central villain nor any fundamental evil that needs to be defeated, "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" is more thoughtful, more carefully paced, more obviously spiritual and more episodic than any of the other books.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too scary for children!
Though I like the idea of this book, as well as the talent behind the illustrations, after reading this to my children and seeing their anxiety about the huge, menacing black cat that scares the mice, my husband and I have decided not to read this anymore to them. The mouse family is sweet, and the intent of the story is admirable, with the littlest mouse giving his mother a thoughtful gift for Mother's Day. I understand that most plots have some type of conflict that is resolved, but we discovered that the cat in this book was too scary for young children. There is a full-page illustration of this cat's scary face and head which is unnecessary, I believe, to make this story a success. We absolutely love reading stories to our children, and in fact, don't watch T.V. as we want books to be a bigger part of their lives. I understand that some people value exposing their children to scariness in books as a way to explain these things in the safety of their home, but sometimes images can remain in a child's mind for a long time, and if it comes from a contrived situation, such as in a fictional story, the child may find it harder to reconcile within the context of real life. We found that our children had a hard time appreciating the point of the story, because they were too thrown by the big, black cat. These happen to be children who live on a farm and have a pet cat themselves! They've dealt with real-life "scariness" such as the death of animals, nearby sightings of bears, foxes and other wild animals...etc., but all of these fit within the context of their lives. I books, they seem to appreciate images and text that work well together-in this case, the cat is bigger than life.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hangman's Curse
I thought the book Hangman's Curse was amazing! It was a "keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat" type of book.Just when you thought you knew what was going on, who did it, the book totally flipped. The book had a real good moral, too. That you should treat people all the same.Nobody likes to be teased and this book was an example of someone's attempt to eliminate the teasers, permanantly. The book kinda left you with a sense of all the "pieces of the puzzle" fitting back into place.Overall, I thought this book was very good and a must read.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good tale.
Frank Peretti is a master story-teller....He has never failed to please young and old.Everyone from my 9 yr old grandson,my 19 yr son......and yes ,even this 57 yr old mother loves to read Perreti. This one did not disappoint.......and I think it is never too early to stress to young people that "Bullying " of any kind is unacceptable. It is time that adults stop turning a blind eye to it. Get the book ...read it ....you will be impressed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Frank Peretti
Frank Peretti is a pretty good author. I love this book, the Hangman's Curse--and I own two copies of it (one being the movie version and one being the version listed here). I also like the book Nightmare Academy, which I have read three times and own. Frank Peretti is a wonderful author mostly because of his mysterious plots and wonderful writing. ... Read more

Joey Pigza Loses Control by Jack Gantos was a great book. This book was very funny because of all the dumb things they did in the story. You will have to read the story to find what they did. Joey's dad and grandma are very weird. They are not like your normal parents. This book makes you just want to keep reading and reading. It is excellent for kids of all ages.

1-0 out of 5 stars 6th Grader's Review
During his summer, Joey Pigza goes to visit his dad who he hasn't visited in a very long time. His mother, no longer being married to him, does not trust Joey's father for he has had many addiction problems and was very childlike and immature. From his father, Joey inherited ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), which he has dealt with by using patches that supply him with his medications. When he visits his father though, his father doesn't believe in the patches and flushes them down the toilet. Here start the constant wacky events of Joey Pigza's summer with his father.
