5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Book
This is one of those rare books that has the ability to entrance both children and adults alike. The story is very well written with the nice feel of well told magical fantasy, one that might be told around a nice roaring fire in winter or on a porch during a nice summer night, and it brings with it such a comfortable feel that even when reading it, the story feels as if it is being read to you by a master storyteller.
5-0 out of 5 stars The: The Dark Hills Divide

3-0 out of 5 stars Short but sweet
Journey, by Patricia MacLachlan, is one of those books that can only be described as short but sweet. This 83 paged novel is jam-packed with deep meaning. Though, I thought it ended too quickly and the meaning was somewhat lost. 1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst
This book is the worst book i have ever read. It doesn't make any sense, and very hard to understand. I reccomend this book to no one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thrilling !!
Journey comes from a disfunctional family. His mum left him and his older sister,Cat with his grandparents. His father left when he was not even born.Journey misses his mum and longs for her to come back.I feel pity for him as his parents dumped him when he was a boy. When I read this book,I was so angry with his mother that I could have beaten her up in real life. His grandfather takes many photos of them and the surroundings. So,when they are grownup, they can have something to remind themselves about the past.Journey's mum tore up all their photos of the past. What an irresponsible mum! I wish I could pound her to pieces like what she did to the photos.I must consider myself the most luckiest girl in the whole world. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING Book!!!!!
This book was definitely one of the best I've ever read!!I just couldn't put it down.Nightmare Academy was much different from the first book in the series, Hangman's Curse, in that this time, the Springfield twins had no backdoor. No way to escape if things got rough. They also had no clue where they were. But, as always, the kids used their talents and devotion to God to prevail.I loved how the twins stood up for each other countless times in this book, and also how they wouldn't let anything shake their faith.I would recommend this book to anyone!!It was FANTASTIC!

5-0 out of 5 stars Frank Peretti's Creepiest Book Yet (IMO)
This book was a difficult one for me to read. Usually, I can sail through a Frank Peretti novel in one sitting, but this one I had to take in small doses because it had my adrenaline going so much. I think the reason it creeped me out so badly is because, unlike most of his other novels, which have somewhat of a science fiction element to them, this one is so much more in the realm of not only plausibility, but probability. (I have not read Hangman's Curse, so I can't compare it to that.) It would not surprise me one bit to find out that places like the Knight-Moore Academy actually exist, and I find that very scary. It is chilling for me to know that there are many people who really do believe the way the faculty at the Knight-Moore Academy does, and that is the reason we are seeing the current breakdown in our society. I believe this book is an eye-opener and a must-read for everyone.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Page-turner !!!
This book is an awesome book. I don't want to give away the whole story but here is a little bit of it. This book is about two Christian kids and their parents struggle to discover the truth to the mysterious actions of a once was lost but now and found boy named Alvin Rogers. This is the second mission of the Vertias Project team. The first project was "Hangman's Curse". They track Alvin to a shelter that disappears and then end up at a place called Knight Moore Academy or as Alvin calls it "Nightmare Academy". They soon discover that the "mission" is going to be harder than they thought when the whole academy believes that there is no truth.

4-0 out of 5 stars Book 6 of 7 in Tomorrow Series
This may be the weakest volume in the Tomorrow series. It is still a non-stop page turner, but it didn't have the action you'd expect after reading the first 5 volumes. The story is mostly about dealing with a band of feral orphans of the war. They cause constant trouble and frustration for Ellie, and the others. This is the only book in the series that leaves a cliffhanger at the end to get you crying for the finale...which I will start to read as soon as I finish this review.

5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest war story/ comming of age tail ever told
I was first introduced to this serioes at school, we were assigned to read it for English, before this book all books assigned to us in school were all garbage and I expected the same, as did most the other students in my class, most wouldnt bother to read it, so the teacher read it aloud in class, for most of it upuntil the half way mark I ignored most of it, until it dawned on me that this book was actualy sounding o.k. When I got home i got my copy from the bookshelf and actualy started to read it, and I read at any chance I had, and when I finished I read the second and third and then had to wait while the rest were written and released4-0 out of 5 stars Very good, as always
The Tomorrow series may be the best seven books I've ever read. John Marsden is an excellent writer, and he almost make me think that this war is real.Read more

The book Cut is a good book to read if you are going threw the same as Callie the main Character. Callies way of dealing with things going in her life but cutting herself. I thought that cut was an extremly good book. I felt like i could connect to what Callie was going threw.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cut
The book Cut is good for anyone who likes books about over coming problems. If you like other books by Patricia McCormick like my brother's keeper, Cut is right for you. In my opinion this book was dry and boring in many places. But there were some parts, you had to keep reading.

I thought this book was great - it had adventure. The overall feel reminded me of the book "Now I Know the Story of Samson". I recommend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Inspirational Holy Land Adventure
This is a wonderful portrayal of the Holy Land at the time of Jesus's ministrations. Ms. Speare is a master at plot and characterization. The Bronze Bow is both exciting and inspirational. It stands on a par with The Witch of Blackbird Pond. I will continue to read this story from time to time for the rest of my life and will pass it on to my grandchildren

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the most excellent books I have ever read!
This book is great. My class read it this year as one of our sixth grade novels. The Bronze Bow is about a boy named Dainel. Dainel's parents died when he was very young. His father was crucified, and his mother, who sat weeping at his father's crucifixtion, died a few weeks later. Daniel then had to live with his grandmother and his younger sister, Leah. Daniel leaves his home when he is thirteen years old. One day, five years later, Daniel saw two kids about his age. One of which he recognized. For moment, he was bewildered with who the boy really was until he remembered-he had gone to school with him. When Daniel goes up to Joel, he finds out the other person was his twin sister, Malthace. He asked how his grandmother and sister were doing. Joel and Malthace informed him that his grandmother and Leah were fine, and that his grandmother was sometimes seen out of the house. But Leah never came out. When Daniel goes back to the village, he remembers that Leah had been possessed by demons. They had a large variety of doctors see her, but no one could cure it. Daniel goes back to the village, and shortly after he recieved a message saying that his grandmother was dying. He went home to find his grandmother on her bed. Leah had nailed all of the doors shut and had never been out for about a week. Daniel visited his grandmother, when her last words spoken to him were, "Dainel, you came." Leah would rarely come out of her corner where she was balled up to see anything. Once Daniel and Leah's grandmother died, they moved into one of Daniels' friends houses where Daniel worked. Leah got to meet Malthace and became good friends with her. Daniel realized that whenever Leah would see Malthace, her attitude and personality would change-to be more like hers. That lasted until one very day. Daniel had gotten mad at her for being friends with a Roman, Marcus, and she became angry. Leah became very sick and close to dying.Daniel didn't know who could help her until he thought of one person-Jesus, who cured the demons from her forever. This book is extraordinary. I could read it again and again. I highly recommend it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect book for the perfect day.
I gave this book to my father for father's day. It tells the charming story of a young girl and the relationship she has with her father. She wants to spend Father's Day with her Dad doing all the things he loves.Instead they do the things she loves to do and like every good Dad he goesalong and pretends they are his favorite things too. It seems like he'sthinking, "without her I wouldn't be celebrating this day". Anyfather would love to read this book to his child and cherish it as a gift. ... Read more

I thought this book was great - it was really colorful. The overall feel reminded me of the book "Now I Know the Ten Commandments". I recommend it to anyone.
5-0 out of 5 stars Loooooove it!
I am a Christian school teacher and I LOVE this set! It has famous voices like Max Lucado, Rebecca St. James, Joni Eareckson Tada, Twila Paris, Steve Green, and Reggie White, to name a few! It comes with 5 CDs and a beautifully illustrated Children's Bible. There are over 100 stories and 70 songs. After many of the stories, the related songs really help the lesson to "hit home." It's great! I can't wait to get a CD player into my classroom!

This was well-loved by my children. Some of the reviewers said it didn't come with the CDs.Well, you have to order the product that says "Audio CD" to get the book and CD.If you buy the Bible only, that is what you get.You must research your product before you buy it, so that you will purchase the correct item.Notice that the item with the CDs was more expensive that the Bible sold alone.Of course, this applies to everything we buy, not just this item.I hate to see a book get a bad rap due to buyer's mistakes, not the author's. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A realistic and exciting story for dog lovers
This novel was one of the best books I've read in a while. The main character is a black labrador named Jet who is seperated from her owner when he's arrested for poaching right before WWII.Jet is requisitioned bythe Army and begins her adventure in Dunkirk where she and Turpin (her newhandler) fight against the Germans. She is soon moved to England and thento Italy where she saves many lives and becomes a hero. There weren't anydull parts in the story, and I alsolearned a lot of history.I'drecommend this story to anyone, young or old, who loves animals and happyendings. ... This is a story set in a small town in Texas.Rodney and DJ are the main characters.Rodney is a young black boy who is being raised by his grandmother. He is very smart and does well in school.DJ has to work hard and study to get by in school. One day Rodney and DJ get in a fight. They are made to spend the night at each others house as punishment. They start to become friends despite how different they are.

This is a great book that does indeed have the feeling and makings of tv movie.I personally know Donald Davenport today and I am positive he did not grow up in rural Texas as a young black child. The dustcover obviously displays an adult WHITE Donald Davenport just as he looks today. The book is a story.Fiction. It is a book idea by Kenny Rogers brought to life by Donald. It is not a recollection of an oppressed mans views of his childhood. Please consider this book in your purchases of a quick read that will make you smile and think! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Album!!!!!!!
This is a very good album even though it has one of the worst episodes ever (The Power of One). My favorite episode from this album is The Present Long Ago. It's so funny!!!!!!!. Overall a great album.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hilarious and Cleverly Entertaining!
Our whole family enjoyed listening to these episodes! Our favorites included "Lost By a Nose", where Liz enters the Miss Odyssey contest and "Two Friends and a Truck", in which Bernard and Eugene swap vehicles and wreck them. And any episode with Wooten (as in "Tuesdays with Wooten") is always worth listening to. Buy this collection and enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars 12 surprising episodes PLUS behind-the-scenes features!
Here's the 12 episodes... there's also hilarious outtakes of the actors (from the studio), a couple deleted scenes, and another funny bit about a Contest Winner who visited Focus on the Family. Not to miss! (Note: the "44a" and "44b" releases don't include bonus features.)
