4-0 out of 5 stars The Deadliest game - A incredible book.
Tom Clancy's The Deadliest Game was a wonderful book. Comparing his book with his last book, Virtual Vandals, This was somewhat more than expected. I enjoyed this book even more because of the huge amounts of suspension. I admit the book was very slow to begin and i thought that there was excessive amount of description and detail in the book and not enough dialect. I really think Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik did a wonderful job on the book. The story of mystery holds all the aspects a good mystery should. All and all this book would have 5 stars if there was more dialect.

3-0 out of 5 stars Weak attempt at fantasy writing
Millions of people participate in the virtual reality game of Sarxos. At any time participants can enter, by logging into a pc via an implanted connection device, the wonderful world of Sarxos, where you can eat, drink, sleep and above all fight with opponents. Sarxos is the ideal escape from the daily troubles. But for some people this escape has become quite addictive. But suddenly strange things are happening: active players are being assaulted during their daily non-Sarxos life. Megan O'Malley, a joyful teenager, is asked by the Net Force agency to check things out. Because she is a frequent player no-one will notice that she has another mission at hand, at least that is was she thinks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Take a break
Control your armys, crush your foes, and strike fear in the eyes of those who oppose you. Then log off, brush your teeth, take a break then lunge back into the world of Sarxos.Tom Clancy really grasps the world of science fiction in his Net Force book The Deadliest Game.I would recomend this book for one and all.The mystery lover, to the action seeker, all readers can love this book many times over. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars One of the Worst
I bought this book because its on Bill Gates, and was I disappointed or what? The style of writting is very bad, and suits a small article not a book. It is not a biography at all, but an absurd trick to cash in on Bill Gates' Name.
5-0 out of 5 stars Bill Gates
I would give this book a five-star rating. The title is Bill Gates and the author is Jeanne M. Lesinski. Bill Gates had a dream. His dream was to create his own computer. Bill does complete his goal. On different kinds of computers he created, he did them with other friends. Throughout the story, it tells about his life, his wife, and three kids. Read the book and find out about his life and the start of Microsoft. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Updated, but still so far out of date
I bought the First Edition of this book not too long after I started playing Shadowbane, and back then it was a handy reference, even thought it had a lot of mistakes and omissions. I was pleased to see that they'd finally released an updated edition, but it is not even close to current. It doesn't have any mention of the Rise of Chaos expansion pack that has been out for quite some time, and is about to go even further out of date with the upcoming release of the "Throne of Oblivion" expansion pack.

When I first got ahold of this book it was an incredible resource for the Shadowbane game. The more I played, the morebegan to notice small errors in the book. These happen, and I was still satisfied.1-0 out of 5 stars Nope, no comment

Of course Maddie enters a web-site contest, but that doesn't mean that her whole life has to turn into a horror story? Right? Of course it does, when the three BFFs get caught up in an old ghost story they realize how chicken they really are. Madison and I want to turn Ivy into a chicken to, since she's being so mean and bossing every single one of Madison's great ideas about decorating the Halloween dance to the ground. Who died and made her most annoying slug in the universe?

2-0 out of 5 stars Flawed
This book poorly explains the concepts needed to understand C++.It is advertised as an introductory book, however, this book will only be useful with one or more semesters of exerpience with C or C++. The books only saving grace is that if you are studying for the AP, this book uses the STL dirived AP classes that you will need to be familar with.If you arn't taking the comp sci AP there is no reason to evenconsider using this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Baby is just an Abortion Waiting to Happen
Just like this book is a complete waste of time to those who can't read a C++ book.My high school computer science class seemed able to comprehend this book and half of them (myself included) got a 5 on the AB Advanced Placement Computer Science Exam. Those who can't do a binary to hex conversion shouldn't be allowed to program a computer and should stick to their orange iMacs and pretty screen savers.Go learn some ZBASIC and get a coat hanger.SUCKERS!

2-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't cover meterial properly
I recently purchased this book for a class at school and when i started to read it the first thing it does is launch you into hexidecimal to binary conversions. Then in chapter 2 the first example they give you is a program that takes up THREE pages at a small font. The program is a dictionary that reads from a file on the hardisk (a relitevely hard task in any langauge). And then makes what you type in translate to italian. They don't even consider that someone new to the langauge has no idea what COUT or CIN means. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A nice, concise guidebook
This is a handy pocket-sized companion guidebook for the Pokemon Game Boy Color Crystal game. This is really a gift for my son so I have little to say about it other than he finds it helpful and useful.I ordered it through amazon.com because it is not an easy book to find locally any longer since the game is no longer manufactured.

4-0 out of 5 stars I would give it five if it weren't for one thing....
The fact that this guide is in Black and White makes some of the screenshots unclear and foggy like.Other than that the walkthrough is very detailed and the book fits just about anywhere. But if your looking for a guide with good detail go to Prima, or if your looking for a guide that goes beyond Strategy get the VERSUS BOOKS guide. But this has a very detailed walkthrough, just that the screenshots are fuzzy by the black and white.
